5 Marketing Tips That Will Transform Your Business
Chances are in the current world economy that you are struggling to build a successful business. 95% of the people who start small businesses fail. It’s unfortunate, but I blame a large portion of this on the lack of proper knowledge and training. I was close to finding myself as a part of this 95% but then I stumbled across online marketing and that has completely transformed my business.
Prior to finding this online information I was not having any success at all. I was burned out, depressed and wanted nothing more than to build a thriving small business. Honestly, it was not all about the money either. I wanted to help other people who were struggling like me realize that they could own their own business and make a living for themselves. It was not until I transformed my mindset and business plan that I was finally able to start seeing results.
The tips that I’m about to give you can completely transform your mindset and way of thinking. It is my hope that you will take some of these tips and apply them to your own business.
5 Online Marketing Tips for Your Small Business
#5: The first thing that you need to do is start a blog that is dedicated to branding yourself. Blog daily if you can - otherwise weekly as a minimum - about the industry and provide value to your readers. By doing this you are going to position yourself as a leader in your industry. People will begin to know, like and trust you and this is how you start attracting like-minded people to your business. It is a lot easier to talk to someone about your services or product if they trust you and want what it is you are selling. If you target audiences for whom English is not their first langage (as I do in Latin-America) then it is worth translating some or maybe even all your blog posts into your target audience's primary language. I use a transriptions and translations service to ensure the translation is accurate but also that it uses terminology and cutural references familiar to my non-English-speaking readers.
#4: Stop pitching your amazing service and wonderful products. Society absolutely hates sales people who try to shove information down their throats. What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of a car salesmen? I’m assuming it’s not a positive image. Do not pitch your company or product on your blog. All this will do is turn people away from reading your content. Instead help them solve problems they have or learn something new. Building trust this way means they will naturally seek your product or servce as and when they need it.
#3: Find an online training community and surround yourself with like-minded entrepreneurs that all have one common goal. There are literally thousands upon thousands of hours of online training videos that will teach you exactly how to position yourself as a leader in this industry.
#2: Content, content, content! If you want to position yourself as a leader in this industry and you want to start attracting people to your business you need to get at least one piece of content on the web every single day. This could include an article, video, or blog post. Be consistent with your content and provide value. Over time, your blog will begin to get consistent traffic that turns into leads.
#1 Find others that are being successful and study them. Do what they are doing and do it well! There is absolutely no need to try and reinvent the wheel. The businesses that are having the most success are building massive teams using the power of internet marketing.
